About Us
Hey there! My name is Latoya and I am the founder of Awake Christian Clothing. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY I now reside in the Charlotte area of North Carolina.
Awake Christian Clothing is a vision God birthed in me. I wrote a business plan back in college but never thought God would lead me to actually START the business. Our brand is derived from Ephesians 5:14 "“Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”
I remember when I first started wearing Christian apparel because I wanted to share the gospel everywhere. I struggled to find authentic Christian clothing. I remember wearing a shirt that said "Spirit, Obey His Word" instead of "Sprite, Obey Your Thirst". This shirt looked just like the sprite logo and had all the same colors. I wanted something different and unique. I'm grateful for each of our unique designs. Two of my top faves are "Prayer Works" and "Watch and Pray"
