Rather, we are in a battle against “principalities and powers”—powerful evil forces of fallen angels (demons) headed by Satan himself, a vicious and unfair fighter (1 Peter 5:8).
We are facing a very real, very powerful army whose only goal is to defeat Christ’s church. They do this by personal and individualized attacks in the body of Christ. Satan wants nothing more than to disarm, deceive, and divide believers but God has equipped us with every spiritual blessing we need to stand firm in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
