WHEAT & TARES ~ PLUCKING UP & BUILDING
I woke up around 5am this morning, even though we didn't get to bed until around midnight, due to our fun night out at the Georgia game with friends. It's important to make time for fun, even in the midst of the craziness of this world.
As I lay in bed praying after waking, trying not to wake my husband who was sound asleep, I asked the Lord about what was going on with Israel, our nation, and the nations of the world.
I heard 2 things clearly...
1. I heard the Lord say...
"I have allowed the wheat and tares to grow together, but I am pulling up the tares in many ways and in many nations now."
Note: This is not to say this is the final "wheat/tares" separation that will obviously happen at a later date, but I believe this happens every so often for different reasons...see below.
2. I clearly heard this verse from Jeremiah -
"See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.” ~ Jeremiah 1:10
I sensed the Lord saying that this separation of wheat/tares, is a part of the plucking up, breaking down, destroying and overthrowing, that must happen in the nations of this world, before a different kind of building and planting can happen. I sensed this especially in regards to here in our nation of America. We are in the middle of certain things being broken down, destroyed, and overthrown, in order to build and plant later.
I do not sense this means that God is doing all of what is happening, or what will soon be coming, but He is allowing it...in a way of allowing things to be destroyed that need to be, in order for other things to be planted and built.
Yes, enemy has his plans, and of course we should pray for his plans to be thwarted and foiled, but God is working even in the midst of the enemies best laid plans, and He will turn everything for the good of those who love Him, and are called, according to His purpose. Some things are not God's perfect will, but due to wickedness, stubbornness and rebellion in nations, and especially among the leaders of nations, He must let them reap what they have sown.
Many times, as He did with Israel in the scriptures, He had to let a nation fall to it's knees, in order for them to fully turn towards Him in humility and with repentance, changing of hearts and actions, and be willing to shift course. This is part of Him allowing many things to be plucked up and destroyed, in order for ultimately good things to be planted and built. What the enemy means for evil, God can and will turn it for good, if we will allow Him to. He is a redemptive and restoring God.
I also do not feel that we will go on like this forever - meaning that we will always recover from our fall, but I do not feel America is headed for ultimate destruction (at this time). That has not been the sense I have gotten for this time in history.
I am not certain how this fits with many people's end-time eschatological belief on Christ's return, whether things will continue to get worse until He comes back...or the church will continue to rise, and things will get better until the Kingdoms of our world become the Kingdoms of our God. I am not here to argue either point, nor to share my beliefs on the matter. That is not what this post is about.
I simply feel to share what I sensed in prayer this morning, and let it be what it will be. We are in a different time than we have ever been in our nation (and in the world, but especially for here in America), and many things are being rooted out and exposed, so they can be destroyed, in order for the ground to be cleansed so other things can be planted. God isn't necessarily orchestrating all of, but due to things that were planted years ago, He is allowing the natural course of things to happen with many of these things, and the tares will simply be judged for what they are.
More shaking and "plucking up/destroying" of things is coming, and the ride will be rocky, but it is for the good. Even when Egypt is judged, God still has a Goshen prepared for His people...and "Goshens" being prepared by many of His people, for this hour! We were born for such a time we this in the Kingdom!
In prayer & preparation,
